Quality Assurance Corporation, an Indianapolis based firm, has been an integral part of the safety program at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway from 1976-2006. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the sanctioning bodies, the American Automobile Association Contest Board, United States Auto Club, and the Indy Racing League have always been concerned with the quality and reliability of materials and components used in race cars. In 1976, Quality Assurance Corporation provided a Rockwell Hardness Tester, and in 1984 provided a complete line of nondestructive testing, and metallurgical testing and examination equipment. In 1985 a team of Mc-Donnell-Douglas engineers brought a nondestructive inspection system to perform inspections of composite chassis.

The following inspections and services were provided for the teams: Magnetic Particle Inspection, Dye Penetrant Inspection, Ultrasonic Thickness measurements, Borescope Examination, Rockwell Hardness Testing for metals, Durometer Hardness Testing for Rubber compounds, and Failure analysis.

In 1996 Quality Assurance Corporation provided all the above services for the Indy Racing League at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and all their events. These services were provided by a 48’ mobile inspection trailer.

In 2005, Team Quality Racing Services was incorporated, and all the inspections provided to the performance racing industry were transferred to Team Quality Racing Services.

At Team Quality Racing Services, our goal is to raise safety awareness and provide the very best inspection services worldwide.
